Where/how do you read books (at home)?
Whenever I try to read in my bed, my neck always hurts from looking at such a weird angle. Same thing when I’m constantly looking down from a chair. I can never find a comfy position or spot to read in!
Do you just prop pillows against your bed’s backboard, or lay on your stomach? (I cannot lay on my stomach, btw. My neck will kill.)
Is there something I’m missing? I can’t think of anywhere to go and read. And do you listen to music when you read? I can do it if the music is calming, and I need a fan if I turn it off.

My neck kills easily as well. So what I’ve done, is found three positions in bed that work for me and I can switch them out when my neck starts to hurt. First position is on my left side, pillows underneath me, and I fluff one pillow up so that my arm is resting on it and I can easily take the weight of the book out of my hand, thus allowing for less pain. Then I’ll do the same, but on my left side. And last, I’ll pile every pillow I have on my bed (which is eight, plus two large body pillows) and make it comfortable against my wall (no headboard) and lean down until my neck is supported. This is my favourite. I never read in a chair. I also enjoy lying on my stomach, but only if I have pillows to prop my face up so that my neck doesn’t hurt. I bunch it under my chin and lean down.
I cannot listen to music with words while reading, it distracts me. I can listen to vocal harmonizing and instrumental though. I also can read with or without a fan.
