How can I clean years of grease off wood chairs?
I just got 6 cool vintage wood and vinyl chairs from a now defunct Chinese food restaurant. The seats need to have new vinyl stapled on, so don’t need to clean them, but the wood parts (backs and legs) are coated with layers of goo…I assume grease that floated in the air from the deep fryers, and just general restaurant goo. I don’t really want to have to refinish them all as sanding and staining would take forever.
As a last resort I suppose I could paint them, but I would still need to get the grease factor down!
There is a really strong degreaser called Spray 9 that works excellent for taking years of grease off of just about anything.
